Salah suffers sprained ankle: Roma

Roma winger Mohamed Salah is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering a sprained ankle in a 2-0 derby win over Lazio on Sunday.
Salah, who has hit five league goals for the Giallorossi since making his move from Chelsea permanent two months ago, was stretchered off early in the second half following a rash challenge by Senad Lulic.
The Egyptian international's right ankle bent inwards under the challenge and Salah was left on the ground in agony, slamming his hand on the turf.
A spokesman for Roma told AFP Salah had "suffered a sprained ankle" and would "go for scans in the next 24 hours".
Roma coach Rudi Garcia was furious with the tackle, which somehow went unpunished, and later hit out at officials.
"Tackles like that don't belong, even in a derby. The players need protection," said the Frenchman.
"You've seen the pictures, I'll say no more. I just hope there's no break."
Roma's win moved them up to provisional secont spot in Serie A, one point behind leaders Inter Milan.
Inter's 1-0 win away to Torino earlier Sunday sent them top of the pile although Fiorentina, in third at three points off the pace and with a huge goals difference, will regain the lead if they beat Sampdoria in Sunday's late game.
