Bayern Munich expect to have European footballer of the year Franck Ribery fit for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Viktoria Pilsen, but Brazil's Dante is out.

France winger Ribery missed Saturday's 4-1 win over Mainz after suffering an ankle injury in training on Friday, but should be fit to face Pilsen at Munich's Allianz Arena.

"The foot is a bit hurt, but it's not too bad," said Ribery, who missed the home win which kept Bayern top of the Bundesliga.

"I had wanted to play, but the doctor said that would be too much of a risk.

"I hope to play on Wednesday in the Champions League."

Bayern, who are top of Group D after a home win over CSKA Moscow and away against Manchester City, are definitely without centre-back Dante.

He was hurt in a challenge from Mainz's Zdenek Pospech which left the Brazilian needing 10 stitches in his left ankle and he is expected to miss the next two weeks.
