Juventus welcome back Lichtsteiner for Gladbach clash

Swiss defender Stephan Lichtsteiner returns to the Juventus squad for the first time since undergoing heart surgery for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Borussia Moenchengladbach in Germany.

The 31-year-old wing-back had an operation to fix an irregular heartbeat after coming off during a match against Frosinone in September with breathing difficulties.

The former Lille and Lazio player has returned to training and been rewarded with a place in the squad for the trip to Germany as Juve look for a win that could see them clinch qualification for the last 16, depending on the result in the other Group D game between Sevilla and Manchester City.

German international and former Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira will not be fit to play after breaking down during Saturday's Serie A match against Torino.
