Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic waved off suggestions Sunday's Serie A game against Livorno could be his last, and said he has faith his side will soon end their miserable league run.

Lazio have won only four times this season, their last victory a 2-0 defeat of Cagliari at the end of October.

Since then the Biancocelesti have taken just three points from their last six games, a sorry run which has dropped the 2013 Italian Cup winners to 12th in the table, 23 points adrift of leaders Juventus.

Petkovic has been under pressure for a number of weeks and following a scoreless draw in Europa League action against Trabzonspor in midweek, Lazio were booed off the pitch.

The 50-year-old was also recently linked to the Swiss national team, with reports claiming he could take over that job following Switzerland's 2014 World Cup campaign.

Petkovic admitted he could be sacked any time but turned his focus to a possible turnaround against struggling Livorno at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday.

"It could always be my last game in charge," Petkovic said when asked if he thought Sunday's fixture would be decisive for his future at the club.

"I live for football day to day, as though I had another 10 years of working together (with the club). If it does become my last day, I would also accept it.

"But I believe in this squad and I'm sure we're going to get out of this tough period together.

"The game is worth three points, just like all the others, but we'll do everything to take them. But we have to be more clinical and take our chances against a strong Livorno side.

"We've got nothing to gain but everything to lose. All the pressure is on us and we have to make sure we turn this around."
