France's widely-travelled coach Claude Le Roy was on Thursday named as the new manager of Congo, his agent reported.
The 65-year-old, in charge of the Democratic Republic of Congo at this year's Africa Cup of Nations, has signed a two year contract.
He succeeds fellow Frenchman Kamel Djabour.
This is Le Roy's fifth national team in Africa after Cameroon, with whom he won the 1988 Africa Cup of Nations, Senegal, DRC and Ghana.
Le Roy has also had spells with Malaysia, Oman and Syria.
