Rangers late winner cuts gap on Celtic

Rangers were forced to dig deep to cut the gap on Scottish Premiership leaders to six points as Borna Barisic's late winner earned a 2-1 victory over Ross County at Ibrox.

Jordan White's equaliser midway through the second period had cancelled out Malik Tillman's first half opener.

However, Barisic's deflected free-kick 15 minutes from time ensured Michael Beale's men maintain their pursuit of the Scottish champions.

Celtic can extend their lead back to nine points when they visit St. Johnstone on Sunday.

Hearts came from behind to stay seven points clear in third with a 3-1 win over 10-man Dundee United.

Steven Fletcher put the visitors in front, but Liam Fox's men remain bottom of the table after Ryan Edwards saw red before half-time.

Hearts struck three times in the final 19 minutes through Lawrence Shankland, Alex Cochrane and Stephen Humphrys, who struck from 50 yards in stoppage time.

Hibernian ended St. Mirren's 12-match unbeaten home run with a 1-0 win thanks to Elie Yoaun's late strike.

Livingston stay fourth after beating Kilmarnock 3-1.

Aberdeen secured their first win for a month by beating struggling Motherwell 3-1 at Pittodrie.
