Lazio into Italian Cup semis after homage to Mihajlovic

Lazio squeezed past Bologna 1-0 in an emotional Italian Cup quarter-final Thursday with a pre-match homage to recently deceased Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Mihajlovic's widow and children were pitch-side as a video of his storied career as player and coach at both clubs was broadcast on a giant screen.

Serie A icon Mihajlovic died of cancer at the age of 53 in mid-December and Bologna had been his final club. As a player, he won the Serie A title with Lazio.

Lazio's Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson tapped home from close range after a defensive mix-up after 33 minutes to settle the match.

A brace from winger Ademola Lookman launched Atalanta's romp into the semi-finals with a 5-2 win over Spezia.

Lookman scored twice in two minutes to make it 2-0 on 12 minutes, but Albin Ekdal pulled a goal back for Spezia almost immediately.

Atalanta's Hans Hateboer and Rasmus Hojlund put the game beyond Spezia with a late own-goal rounding out the five.

The pair join Cremonese in the hat for the semi-final draw with Juventus playing Silvio Berlusconi's Monza in the last of the quarter-finals later Thursday.
