Major League Soccer postponed Saturday's match between the Colorado Rapids and Portland Timbers after Colorado's coronavirus outbreak worsened with three more positive cases.

Since the Rapids reported their first coronavirus positive last Thursday, the club has had a total of four players and 11 staff members test positive.

The game at Portland was rescheduled for November 4.

The Rapids reported one player and three staff members tested positive a week ago and have not trained since.

A Rapids game that was to have been played against Sporting Kansas City last Sunday was postponed to October 21.

On Monday, the Rapids said another player and seven additional staff members had tested positive for the deadly virus.

All players and staff with confirmed cases of COVID-19 have entered self-isolation while following MLS health and safety protocols.

The Rapids are fifth in the Western Conference at 5-4-4 for 19 points, a point behind Dallas and Kansas City and ahead of Minnesota on goal difference.

The Timbers, 7-4-3 with 24 points, are second in the west, trailing leader and arch-rival Seattle on goal difference.
